Eduardo grew up and did his physiotherapy studies in Brazil, graduating from EBMSP in 2007. In 2010, he took a major step in his career and immigrated to Canada where he went through a curriculum equivalence program at McGill University in order to be licensed from OPPQ, which was granted in 2011. He has followed many continuing education courses since his graduation with a particular interest in subgroup classification of musculoskeletal disorders. In 2009 he was granted a certification in manual therapy from Manual Concepts from Perth, Australia and he has completed up to level 3 lower quadrant with the AQPMO. In 2008 he started his studies in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT)/McKenzie obtaining his certification in 2012. In 2017 he completed the Diploma program in MDT, which is the highest level of education in this method. Also in 2017, he took a vestibular rehabilitation course.
His background in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is what lead Eduardo to become a physiotherapist, but also his avid interest in an evidence based practice that has kept him motivated to find solutions for the vast complexity of problems presented by his patients. With an active approach as a solution to musculoskeletal problems, the main goal of his approach is to provide independence to his patients by ways of education, exercise prescription and self-treatment.
On top of his clinical activities, Eduardo is also a professor for the Physiotherapy Tech Program at Dawson' College where he has taught physiology, kinesiology, and clinical education.
