Promoting MDT

Collaborate with us to promote MDT!

Our clinic was the first certified McKenzie clinic in Quebec and, as part of our mission, we strive to continue to promote the use of MDT throughout Quebec and beyond.

We are interested in collaborating with you in any one or many of the following areas:
For Employees
For All
For Employees
1) The opportunity to work in an environment that prioritizes the well-being of its employees and patients, while continually fostering our employees' professional development through the McKenzie system:
  • Active Solution Physiotherapy’s mission is to provide the tools for our patients to be active participants in their health in a respectful work environment that aims to grow the team members towards their respective goals while promoting Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) in Montreal and beyond.
  • We believe that each and every one of our employees’ well being is paramount in being able to provide exceptional service. As such we strive to provide a supportive environment where every individual feels valued.

2) Support through the MDT Diploma Program process:
  • If you have ever wondered about the MDT Diploma program, we would be very happy to give you a taste of what that program looks like through our intensive direct mentorship program that is offered over a two month period in our clinic, and which continues on far after that intensive period is finished;
  • Financial support through our continuing education budget including potential advances on future budget and exam fees paid by the clinic;
  • Mentorship to prepare you for the final diploma exam;
  • Ease of leaving for the diploma practical component;
  • Generous pay raise once the diploma process is completed;
For All
1) MDT discussion group:
  • We provide a discussion group that you can attend in person or via web conference 4-5x/year
  • We do case discussions and live or recorded assessments/treatments including the clinical reasoning behind the decisions made in the process as well as discussion about all things related to MDT.

2) The opportunity to have mentorship hours with our experienced team:
  • We offer mentorship possibilities for therapists of all levels including observation hours and case discussions as well as problem solving  to further develop your clinical skills, without needing to work with us.

3) Possibility of being involved in MDT related research:
  • We are involved in research on different aspects of MDT, such as the pelvic floor and MDT, and MDT in the pediatric population;
  • We plan on expanding into many other research projects. We would be interested in your input and collaboration as well, should you have an interest in research.

4) Teaching endeavors:
  • We are involved with taking university students for internships, in providing an introduction to MDT workshops for university students, mentorship of younger therapists, and co-hosting courses with the Robin McKenzie Institute Canada (available for our employees)
  • We also offer some guidance for those who may be interested in taking students in your workplace or mentoring younger therapists in your clinic (available for all)
We have a very motivated team that is pushing towards bettering the physiotherapy world through evidence based practice using MDT and, if you would like to be involved, then we would love to hear from you. If you are interested in getting involved with any of our endeavours, if you have other ideas for promoting MDT, or would just like to talk about MDT, please fill out this form.
