Youri obtained his master's degree in Physical Therapy at McGill University in 2018 and his certification from McKenzie Institute International in 2019. He is currently a candidate for their prestigious diploma (which is now held by only seven physiotherapists in Quebec). He also holds a master's degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Montrealhaving done research in vascular medicine.
He discovered the McKenzie method during an internship during his studies and instantly understood that it was a tool capable of responding effectively to most musculoskeletal problems.He therefore completed his certification six months after obtaining his license, and also followed the Outcome-Accountable Clinician professional development program delivered by the American company Integrated Mechanical Care in 2020.
The McKenzie approach aligns perfectly with his values as a therapist since it allows the patient to obtain the tools to manage his pain himself, which makes it possible to significantly reduce the number of visits..
Youri’s hobbies include meditation, video games, listening to podcasts on philosophy and theology, and working out at the gym.
